1. The "instrumental" leader would take the lead on discussions and guide it so the assign tasked was accomplished. The "expressive" leader was the emotional support who kept the groups spirit up with jokes and positive remarks. The role of the husband was associated with the instrumental leader, while the wife was associated with the expressive leader.
2. During this time women started entering the workforce and as a result the breadwinner family lost it's "dominant position" in society. This ultimately would change how the instrumental and expressive leaders would change in the household.
3. Conflict Theory focuses on power, control, or dominance over another individual or a group of people. This theory also wants to focus on the elimination over this dominance among individuals.4.Exchange theory is based off of ecology. Husbands have money to exchange for their wives taking care of the children and household duties. 5. Feminist theory is based on the inequality faced by women from a male dominated society. Feminist theory strives to bring about equality among both genders.

B) MicroC) I would most likely use participant observation because it would be better to actually watch a relationship develop.
D). Since I would to have participants, I realize that I may have to research a small amount of people. Perhaps 10 couples.
E) What was your relationship before you received a degree?after? Have you and your partner received the same level of education? Do you spend the same amount of time with your partner now as you did before earning your degree?
